I was the founding Broker/Owner of Re/Max of Mt. Shasta, joining the REMAX family in 1995. I had been affiliated with a local brokerage for seventeen years prior to "setting out" into the business world. In a community of only 3,600 residents, with a large supply of real estate firms, I did not know what to expect adding one more competitor to the group, but I was willing to try! With a lot of hard work and long hours, and with only myself and my partner manning the ship, Re/Max became a top local real estate brokerage. I have offered reliable and dependable service and have enjoyed continued success, even inspiring my children and their spouses to enter the real estate world! I did not start out with huge expectations for a career in real estate but was willing to learn all that I could to make it happen. I listened to conversations between experienced agents in the office, attended seminars whenever I could, introduced myself to the "movers and the shakers" in local government and asked lots of questions. I knew that I had found something that I loved to do. Working with people was easy for me and it was exciting when I actually helped customers buy their first home. I soon found myself anxious to go to work, motivated to learn, and soon became involved with all types of investors.
When I discovered the trust people had in me I was rewarded for all of my hard work. I found this to be a symbiotic relationship----we were all helping each other to live better lives. I am forever grateful to my loyal customers who have valued what I have to offer and have trusted me to assist in making some of the biggest decisions of their lives.
I have worked for many years to earn that trust and will continue to provide the quality of service that they have the right to expect!
At this point in her career, Colleen has strong relationships with every lender in the community and with other businesses related to real estate, including builders, land developers, condo developers, title comapanies, and appraisers. More importantly, her systems include constant communication with buyers and sellers to help ensure their satisfaction. "Satisfied clients turn into referrals", she says.
